Tropical Flitters

Went to butterfly creek this afternoon with Jen and Tama, and sat amongst the tropical butterflies as they flitted about. Worth a visit, IMO. Sign in the butterfly house
Butterflies only live for a very short time, most of this is spent looking for a mate.

Sounds a lot like us humans, really.

Funny you mention that. A few hours ago I watched a documentary from Nova called Life's Greatest Miracle. It was about the amazing development of a single cell through all the various stages up to featus and birth. The point of the documentary though was to explain how much we are not in control of our own sexual instincts as if the human species was no more the robots uncousciouly struggling along solely to pass on the genes to the next generation. Funny enough, Bill Bryson mentions the very same thing in his book Short History of Nearly everything. Spooky. Cheers bruv.
